WOW! This game is the best of all the smackdown vs. raw games. The general manager mode is so fun you can make your own matches and draft your own superstars for your show. The season mode is awesome too. You have a nonstop calender of matches you do on either smackdown or raw. Now I am in the middle of Jeff Hardy and it is a lot of fun. My top three favorite superstars are Jeff Hardy, Triple H, and Randy Orton. So if you like wrestling I would buy this terrific game!

OK, this wasn’t the easiest game to review. Plus, I was real close to rating it 3-stars becasue of some of the differences between the 360 version and this one. But I bumped it to a 4-star TWEENER because this isn’t a 360 review, the thing about wrestling games is that people either love’em or hate’em.

STAND-ALONE: There really is alot of things you can do all by yourself with this years version of SvR. The character creation isn’t as expansive as it could be, but I didn’t have any trouble putting together my urban camo, cargo short wearing, monster to be loosed upon the game, and later the online masses. The 24/7 mode is nothing if not expansive. In fact. . . for a casual gamer, this may have been a bit of an over-correction by THQ. All in all though, if you like watching muscle-heads in tight pants gripping all up on one another for 20 minutes just to see who gets to lay on top of the other one for 3 seconds. . . give this one a shot.

MULTI-PLAYER: Bought the game. . . took it home. . . got online. . . chose Batista. . . got whooped by some dude with Shawn Michaels. . . got offline. . . decided not to make that mistake again. . . started practicing in 24/7 Mode. After all was said and done. . . I just realized that it doesn’t make any sense to go getting my backside handed to me every time out online. You might wanna play some matches on Legend difficulty before you go looking to pick a fight online. Learning curve can be steep. But the creating a title and defending it online sounds like it would be interesting as heck.

Basically. . . go rent this one first. If you’re into wrestling games. . . you should enjoy this one. . . but the overly involved 24/7 mode may turn some people off. But if you end up buying this one. . . ya better get some practice in before ya jump online with it. Because if you come across a guy named Alexander roaming around defending his Southwestern Championship, you might wanna go the other way. I’ve been eating my prayers and saying my vitamins. . . ?. . . wait, reverse that. Sorry. . . too many chair shots to the head. :)

Well, the all awaited Smackdown vs Raw 2008 has arrived. I have played the games and seen some flaws, especially in the 24/7 mode. 24/7 constantly repeats itself, the same cutscenes over and over again, It also seems that you arent really making any progress because the storylines dont add up. The good news is the controls have been improved and give you a better feel on the game. Running has also been improved as now u can run around freely instead like in older editions of the game. . Horizonatl or vertical. The match types are pretty good. My favorite addition is the Extreme Rules Match. The Graphics in the PS3 look extremely good. The fact that the game lacks blood stains on the floor also makes it go 1 step back. But overall, this game is pretty fun. The legends roster is pretty good and the game also has some few extra unlockable characters which if I tell you now it might spoil your appetite for this game. And if you are a fan of the series then, i see no reason from stopping you to get this game.

Lame gameplay. . more of the same old thing from WWE wrestling games. They move like robots. With all the great video game technology out there and Vince McMahon’s billions you’d think they could come up with something a little more realistic. WWE has truely dropped the ball on this one.
