    @K1llerSpades
    yeah, if you turn it into sony (and any other repair shop most likely), it will be cheaper to get a ps3 slim.

    well, i only needed to know how to open it up and get a disc out, my ps3 crapped out on me, but other than that
    good vid. . it helped. . . and i’m not turning in my ps3 for repairs, i’m goin for a slim. . .

    Thanks for the video.

    My PS3 is bricked with RLOD and my COD MW2 disk was stuck inside. I know you left the disk in by accident but it was just the video I needed.

    Thanks for the help

    hehe,
    yeah, when i made this video, i honestly wasn’t expecting many people to watch it, and that is why i didn’t concern myself with making the video that good, i have been thinking about redoing it to make it more contiguous, but i haven’t been home for a few months.

    Yeah 3000 is great i’m sure if you released it earlier you would have got closer to 25k views like others! Im making my video now its exactly like yours BUT BETTER! haha but thnakyou man i love you AMERICANS!

  7. Kilheston on March 9th, 2010 2:33 am

    thanks man :)

    I just did this vid for my friend, i would have never thought i would have gotten close to 3000 views.

    Yeah it costs about 179 for them to repair.
    But for 119 and 20 for shipping you can upgrade to a slim. . . so, for 40 bucks less you can get a newer one instead of getting one fixed.

    i honestly couldn’t tell you one way or the other.

  11. spoofkilla on March 9th, 2010 4:22 am

    can we use contact lens cleaner?

  12. Kilheston on March 9th, 2010 4:34 am

    on my sticker that i took off it something to the affect of “warranty void of sticker is removed”

    so if your ps3 is still under warranty, I would just go ahead and send it in (with sticker on) and have them repair it for free. but if the warranty is expred i think i costs around $150-170 for them to repair it (from what i have found that seems to be the average)

    but i don’t see why they would care if your sticker is on or off if there isn’t any warranty on it is gone

    can i still send back my ps3 if the seal is off. . . . I am really clumsy and I know I will do something wrong.

  14. Kilheston on March 9th, 2010 5:21 am

    Yea, if thats what you are going to buy. go ahead and use it. I never came across anything on the internet saying one type of cleaner was better than the other.

  15. jsteele1423 on March 9th, 2010 6:04 am

    but do u think i should try it with the glass cleaner wen i get some?

  16. Kilheston on March 9th, 2010 6:40 am

    That would be my next guess that it is broken.

    someone suggested try moving the sensor while the disc is in the reader, but i havent gotten around to testing that idea out to see if it works

  17. jsteele1423 on March 9th, 2010 7:25 am

    k im confused i dont have the glass cleaner & i used a q-tip cleaned it Still doesn’t work. would my lens be broken

  18. Kilheston on March 9th, 2010 8:19 am

    @koukounar7
    thnx for the info. I will try it the next time i am home, tho i don’t know the next time that will be

  19. koukounar7 on March 9th, 2010 8:42 am

    kilheston did you try to test the sensor when you tried the lens after cleaning? My driver ’s problem was the dust but I couldn’t get it to work at first cos the sensor has gone to the wrong place. Next time you test it try to push the sensor with something while a disc is already inserted into the drive. I had the same problem and finally just fixed it. If the disc when you insert it is spinning for a couple of seconds and then stops then is probably cos the sensor. Hope this can help.
