My first replacement battery lasted less than a year, so I was about to retire my roombas. Decided to buy one battery to see how the old dogs reacted and they work better than new. Run time is much longer and stronger than the original and is supposed to improve after 4 or 5 times. Ordered more batteries for the other unit and my sister’s 2 roombas she had retired. And it is the same price as the wimps. Be sure to order this 4905 APS replacement model. Hold down the power button on your roomba for several seconds with the battery removed and the charger unplugged to erase the short charging cycle memory set by your old battery before installing the new battery.

Know problem with iRobot is the battery dies every 12-15months and this is all you need. Great product half the price of the company site.

My original battery would no longer hold a charge and I was a bit weary about ordering a “generic” replacement battery for my Roomba. I realized that the internals were almost the same. The difference with this replacement battery: I get over TWICE as much vacuum time than the original battery. If I set my Roomba to “Max” using the original battery, (it will run until depleted or about 2 hours) – the replacement battery lasted over 4 hours! When I got home the poor Roomba couldn’t pick up anymore dirt as it was stuffed.

I would highly recommend this replacement battery to any Roomba user looking to replace their original battery. This replacement battery has performance and value.

If you have any of the iRobot Roomba robotic vacuuming devices, here is a great replacement battery. More current than the original, it charges faster and lasts longer than the original. A great choice for those whose Roomba is suffering from a weak rechargable battery.

My Roomba Discovery battery died after a year. I tried the discharging/resetting/recharging for 72+hrs trick multiple times with no success. The Roomba would run for 1-5 seconds and die. This battery instantly brought Roomba back to it’s original self. Hopefully it’ll be more durable than the OEM battery, but we’ll see.
